Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to the Present Tracker Android app, published by Fortua Tech Limited. It does not replace the separate Fortua website privacy policy.
Information stored on your device
Present Tracker stores the information you enter or create, which may include:
- seasons, recipients, budgets, gift details, prices, milestones, retailers, notes, and storage locations;
- optional barcodes and user-confirmed product names or brands;
- recipient images, original product photographs, and accepted studio-style product images;
- app settings and a locally cached record of remove-ads access.
This gift-planning information is held in the app's private local storage. Present Tracker does not require an account and Fortua does not operate a backend that receives this information.
Optional on-device AI and voice features
On supported devices, Present Tracker can use downloaded Google on-device models to suggest a product name and visible brand, create a studio-style cut-out from the real photograph, and power the Clara assistant. Product photos, prompts, responses, and Clara conversations are processed within the app and are not uploaded to Fortua.
Clara's conversation history is temporary and is cleared when the session ends. If you use voice mode, the app requests microphone access and uses Android's on-device speech recognition and text-to-speech services. Voice audio and transcripts are not retained by Present Tracker. Model availability and downloads are managed by the device and Google system services.
Advertising and consent
Eligible users may see banner advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Before requesting adverts, Present Tracker uses Google's User Messaging Platform to obtain or refresh the privacy choices required in the UK, European Economic Area, Switzerland, and applicable US states. You can reopen those choices from Manage ad privacyin the app whenever Google requires that option.
Google's advertising services may collect or share:
- IP-derived approximate location;
- app and advertising interactions;
- diagnostic information;
- device or advertising identifiers.
Google may use that information for advertising, measurement and analytics, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Ad personalisation is not forced by Present Tracker: Google uses the user's consent signals and legal eligibility to provide personalised, non-personalised, or limited adverts. Present Tracker never sends recipients, budgets, gifts, barcodes, retailer details, notes, or photos to AdMob for targeting.
You can remove adverts permanently through the optional Google Play purchase shown in the app. Google explains its processing in the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Play purchases
Google Play processes the Remove Ads purchase, including payment and account information. Present Tracker queries Google Play for the product's price and ownership status, acknowledges completed purchases, and caches the resulting entitlement locally so it remains available offline. Fortua does not receive or store payment-card details. Monetisation records are kept separate from gift-planning data and are not included in app backups.
Permissions and network access
Present Tracker requests only the permissions needed for features you choose to use:
- Camera: capture product photos and scan barcodes.
- Microphone: speak to Clara using on-device speech recognition.
- Photos: choose an existing product or recipient image through Android's system picker.
- Internet: retrieve consent messages and adverts, communicate with Google Play Billing, and download supported on-device models.
You can refuse or withdraw optional camera and microphone permissions in Android settings and continue using manual entry.
Backups and sharing
Backup and restore are initiated by you. An exported ZIP can contain seasons, recipients, gifts, settings, and their original and presentation images. You choose the destination using Android's system file picker. Once exported, the copy is controlled by the storage provider and location you selected, so you should protect it as you would any file containing personal information.
Fortua does not sell gift-planning data and does not add an analytics SDK, cloud account, or remote gift catalogue to Present Tracker. Data handled by Google AdMob, the User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing, and Android model services is processed under Google's own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them, replace them through restore, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Deleting a gift or recipient also removes associated app-managed product images. Exported backup files remain wherever you saved them until you delete those copies yourself.
Children
Present Tracker is intended for adults organising gifts and is not directed to children. Fortua does not knowingly collect children's gift-planning information through an account or backend.
Your choices
- edit or delete local recipients, gifts, seasons, photos, and notes within the app;
- manage advertising privacy choices when the option is available;
- purchase Remove Ads or restore an existing Google Play purchase;
- control camera and microphone permissions in Android settings;
- export a backup, clear the app's data, or uninstall it.
